Is marijuana affecting the quality of employees?

The other day i was contemplating an issue. One that seems to be affecting the quality of employees that are hired by my employer.

You see, i work in a state that has legalized the use of marijuana.

With marijuana being legal more people, professionals and otherwise are consuming it.  This appears to be the issue affecting the quality of employees my job can hire.

My theory is that the company i work for is having to hire people that are less capable of doing the job because the ones who are fit, intelligent and capable are coming up with positive Urinary Analysis.

I looked into it a little bit and discovered that there are not many articles about this topic.  However I did find that in some states where weed is legal most companies are increasing their drug testing.

Based on this information the only affect that this could have would support my theory.

The more testing the more difficult it will be for employers to find people to fill jobs.
Especially jobs like mine that don't pay well and are both mentally and physically taxing (i walk ten to twelve miles in an 8 hour shift and everyone i deal with has a "problem').

You might be wondering what i believe the solution could be well... Since marijuana is legal and not going anywhere.  The federal government needs to look towards national legalization.

If a person can drink a beer at night and go to work the next day. Then so shall a person smoke some pot and go to work the next day (with legal limits in mind).

While scrolling through google looking for a particular Java source code i came across this website that i thought would be of interest to a lot of other people looking for coding examples on the web.

https://androidcookbook.com/ViewTOC.seam The website is a "Crowd sourced cookbook on writing Android apps".

The website has code for flashlight/torch, headers SQL database and many many more examples.

It was made in 2011 but its code still works great.

Where to find a good coding laptop for a good price

I have recently done a lot of research on computer's so that i could find a good computer within a certain price range.  I spent a couple of weeks looking at every aspect of desktop pc's and laptops.  I eventually found the best price on laptops with the best possible processor, ram etc, being sold at a chain store called Staples (.www.staples.com)  They had the best computer's with the most processing power and ram at the best price!  They beat everyone online with laptops used, reconditioned and new.

If you are wondering what i was using as minimum hardware requirements it was simple.  For the processor i searched for Intel core i5 5th gen and up as well as Intel core i7 5th gen and up.  With a minimum ram of 8 gigs.   The rest was not a concern.

The main reason for getting a computer with an Intel chip was for the Haxm boost benefits.  Haxm is a program that was integrated into Intel's chipsets that provide a priority bandwidth stream to the Android Studio emulator.  It's very important for speeding up the build of the emulator.

What am i getting at? Well, if you are a looking for a new computer with a lot of processing power that can handle Android Studio and its emulator than you should look to Staples...

Don't waste your time with anyone else unless you are looking for a desktop pc or used!

Infinitely Connected

A few years back I came across an article on Quantum entanglement, if you don't know what that is here is a link that can quickly get you up to speed on the subject,
http://www.popsci.com/tags/quantum-entanglement ).  The basic idea is that you take two objects then make them identical at the subatomic level then separate them by any distance.  Once they are separated you modify one of the objects and that's when "spooky action at a distance" takes place. No matter the distance. When one of the objects is changed and the other changes to match its entangled twin.  The change is instantaneous.  If you didn't read the articles in the link's than you don't know that what I am talking about is teleportation but that is sorta what is going on.  Scientist's have figured out how to teleport small amounts of data faster than the speed of light.

Cool stuff right.  The really cool aspects of these new scientific studies have yet to be understood.

When they were working with these theories they came to some profound conclusions about the universe.  The first conclusion being there is a type of energy that can travel faster than the speed of light.  The other conclusion was about how the universe is fully connected in infinite ways.

This theory got my mind flying.  That means so many things are possible.  For example, I  am a human.  I have unparalleled control over my mind.  A mind which uses electrical impulses to make and remember memories.  Also, my mind uses those same electrical impulses to allow me to physically interact and control the environment around me.  So if I am using the foundations of time and space in my mind to function I am always affecting the universe on a larger scale than I know. Crazy right?

I'm not a person that's to keen on religion but I have read a verse in the Bible, Mark 11:23 "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them." (I know that this analogy and quantum entanglement have some physical dissimilarities but you get the point) Those words from the bible that I use they are not modern words. Those are ancient words from a man who made people see him do incredible things.

With this potential for all things to be connected it is possible for creatures that are masters of the universe and energy to accomplish these things.

The world of science and the magic of ancient religions are colliding.  (Here is an article supporting this statement by physicists and philosophers)

Learning Android Studio and Java

Throughout my process of learning how to develop software on the web I came across some resources I feel will help out other beginning developers of Android and Java.

https://guides.codepath.com/android This website is great. First of all, most everything on it is free. I say most because they have classes out of the bay area that they charge for.  It is a website designed to provide information for beginning coders and intermediate coders alike.  It has source-code available for those who like to see and learn how a app is built.  It includes info on what you need to get started developing android app's with Android Studio as well as other beginner resources.  Then it provides app tutorials on Android ListViews, and Layouts.  Like imageViews, textViews, webViews and so on.  It also has info on creating app interaction's.  Including event listeners, gestures and touch events, action bar and Toasts.  It also has info on launching you're app to the play as well as many other invaluable resources.  So please if you are just starting out with android development use this website as a resource.

Codecademy, is another website that has interactive tutorials on how to make a website, Java, JavaScript, JQuery, Ruby, HTML , CSS, Python, PHP, and SQL.  The website is free to sign up and they provide the tutorials for free (for now) but the charge for more advanced training.

https://www.udemy.com/  This website is my favorite.  It has a lot of video tutorials on anything that you can imagine.  Android Studio, developing for IOS, and thousands of other learning tutorials.  The best classes cost money.  But the free classes allow you to get some training in.  The classes range in cost from $300 to free but a lot of the time if you see a class that you want to take for $200 or $300 if you signup for the website and wait Udemy will send email about the classes you want for a much lower price. This website helped me greatly understand Java syntax as well as Android Studio.

These are just a few of the online resources that I have used if you are looking for books to learn from let me know and I will post a few books that will help with your journey to being a software engineer.
